Malcolm Smith-Pigford named Head CoachMarch 13, 2018
(Carson) - Los Angeles native Malcolm Smith-Pigford was named Head Coach of the California Wolfpack. Smith-Pigford (Morehouse College Graduate) comes to the organization with over ten years of coaching experience, with his last stint as head coach being with the West Coast Lions Minor League team in 2017. Coach Smith-Pigford is a defensive minded coach and will also serve as the Defensive Coordinator this upcoming season. "I am really excited to coach the caliber of athletes that we are expecting to get on this football team. I thank Herbert Cash for the opportunity, and am very excited for everyone that gets to be involved with the DFI and the Wolfpack organization" Said Smith-Pigford. "I'm excited to have Coach Malcolm as our Head Coach. It isn't too often you find a guy that is young (35 years old) with the level of both playing and coaching experience. I think he will create a great culture where athletes, coaches, and fans will love to be a part our organization" Said Owner Herbert Cash in regards to the hire. |
